TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN THE COMPETITION (THE "CHALLENGE") AS THEY GOVERN YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CHALLENGE. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE CHALLENGE, YOU UNCONDITIONALLY AGREE TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS PREVAIL IN THE EVENT OF ANY CONFLICT OR INCONSISTENCY WITH ANY OTHER COMMUNICATION MATERIALS.

This Challenge is operated by Sommet Education Sàrl, a company registered in Switzerland at Rue Saint-Martin 7, 1003, Lausanne, Switzerland on behalf of its renowned hospitality schools, Glion Institute of Higher Education and Les Roches (hereinafter referred collectively as “Sommet Education”). This Challenge is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other social network.

1. ELIGIBILITY.

This Challenge is open to Participants (as defined below) eligible to enrol in one of the Glion or Les Roche executive programs listed below (the “Eligible programs”) in September 2023 or April 2024 (“the “Eligible intakes”):

Executive Master’s in International Hotel Management (Les Roches Marbella)

Executive MBA in Global Hospitality Management (Les Roches Crans Montana)

Executive Master’s in Luxury Management and Guest Experience (Glion Switzerland)

Accordingly, Participants must fulfil the admission requirements of the Eligible program of their choice and for one of the Eligible intakes (full admission details are available on Glion and Les Roches respective websites).

If you do not meet these requirements, we ask you not to participate in the Challenge. Sommet Education reserves the right to deny admission and any prizes to any Participant that does not meet the foregoing admissions requirements.

Employees, officers, and directors of Sommet Education, its related companies and agents, and members of the immediate family and household of each are not eligible to participate in the Challenge.

2. APPLICATION.

Submitting an application to enter into the Challenge will be deemed as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in the Challenge is free and there is no purchase necessary.

Up until the 15th of December 2023 at 24 P.M. (CEST), you may access and complete the application process available at URL.

Only complete applications will be considered. Incomplete applications will be considered void and not considered in the judging of this Challenge. Sommet Education is not responsible for errors; omissions; lost, late or delayed applications; interruptions; deletions; delays in operations or transmission; invalid, misdirected, illegible, mutilated, incomplete, technically corrupted or misdirected applications, whether caused by any technical or human error. Any of the foregoing types of applications will be disqualified.

3. SUBMISSION FORMAT REQUIREMENTS.

You may enter only one (1) submission.

Your submission must comply with all requirements that you can find on the landing page located at https://events.lesroches.edu/executive-education-competition-romania/.

Once you submit it, your submission is final and may not be modified or edited. No submissions will be returned.

The person in whose name the application is registered will be deemed the participant (“Participant”). Collective participation is not allowed.

4. WINNERS SELECTION.

Submissions will be assessed, and prizes awarded on a first come first served basis (no comparison between Participants submissions).

Participants acknowledge that efforts and submissions made by Participants in view of the Challenge do not trigger any compensation by Sommet Education, even if a Participant is not selected as a winner.

The winners will be notified by e-mail at the address provided in the application. If a winner does not accept his/her Prize (as defined below), an alternate winner may be chosen.

If a winner cannot be contacted or fails to respond to the initial notification within ten (10) days from the date of the initial notification, an alternate winner may be chosen and the Prize reallocated. Sommet Education shall have no liability to any winner who has not replied in time.

5. PRIZE.

The winner(s) of the Challenge will be awarded one of the following prizes as determined by Sommet Education (collectively, the “Prize”):

The 1st prize is a 50% scholarship against tuition fees to study in one of the Eligible programs during one of the Eligible intakes only and that will apply as a reduction on the student invoices.

The 2nd prize is a 40% scholarship against tuition fees to study in one of the Eligible programs during one of the Eligible intakes only and that will apply as a reduction on the student invoices.

The 3rd prize is a 30% scholarship against tuition fees to study in one of the Eligible programs during one of the Eligible intakes only and that will apply as a reduction on the student invoices.

Prizes consist only of the items specified above. All other expenses, fees or costs incurred in connection with the acceptance or use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner including but not limited to remaining tuition fees, transfers to and from campus, health and accident insurance and visa costs, cost of accommodation, cost of learning resources, cost of mandatory business field trips and any other incidental expenses.

Any images shown in relation to the Prize are for illustrative purposes only. Prize will be awarded in the name of the winners and must be accepted as awarded. No cash equivalent can be claimed in lieu of a Prize. Prizes and all elements within may not be sold, transferred, refunded, or rescheduled to dates not within the fulfilment period set forth above. Sommet Education shall have no liability to any winner who is unable to use the Prize for any reason.

Sommet Education reserve the right to change the details of any Prize or to substitute any other offering for a Prize at their sole discretion at any time.

6. PERSONAL DATA.

In order to operate the Challenge (including administering Prizes), Sommet Education will collect and process certain personal data of the Participants. Such personal data may include information contained in each Participant's application, CV, motivational letter, and submissions (e.g., name, contact details, date of birth, biographical information, etc.). Sommet Education will process the Participant's personal data in compliance with applicable law and according to the Glion and Les Roches Privacy Policies available on each school website.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND INDEMNIFICATION.

Participants hereby represent and warrant that: (i) they will comply with these Terms and Conditions as well as with any and all applicable laws or regulations in connection with their participation in the Challenge and/or acceptance and/or use of any Prize as the case may be including paying all relevant taxes where applicable (the winners are solely responsible for any tax implications arising from winning a Prize), (ii) they will not use the Challenge or Prize for any illegal or unauthorised purpose; (iii) they will not misrepresent their relationship with Sommet Education. Participants agree that the Indemnitees will not be liable in connection with any breach of the foregoing by Participants and will indemnify the Indemnitees from any action, claim, expense, or damages resulting therefrom.

Sommet Education has arranged this Challenge in good faith but, to the fullest extent allowed by law, accepts no responsibility for loss or damages, including any third-party claims, as a result of anyone participating in the Challenge or any aspect of the Prize awarded. By participating in this Challenge, Participants agree to hold the Indemnitees harmless against all and any liability and claims and injuries that may arise from or be based upon participation, winning, acceptance and/or use of the Prize received in connection with this Challenge.

8. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY.

The participants hereby represent and warrant that: (i) they will comply with these Terms and Conditions as well as any and all applicable laws or regulations in connection with their participation in the Challenges and/or acceptance and/or use of any prize as the case may be including paying all relevant taxes where applicable (the winners are solely responsible for any tax implications arising from winning a prize), (ii) they will not use the Challenges or prize for any illegal or unauthorised purpose; (iii) they will not misrepresent their relationship with Les Roches. The participants agree that the Indemnities will not be liable for any breach of the foregoing and will indemnify the Indemnities from any action, claim, expense or damages resulting therefrom.

Les Roches have arranged these Challenges in good faith but, to the fullest extent allowed by law, accept no responsibility for loss or damages, including any third-party claims, as a result of anyone participating in the Challenges or any aspect of the prize awarded. By participating in these Challenges, the participants agree to hold the Indemnities harmless against all and any liability and claims and injuries that may arise from or be based upon participation, winning, acceptance and/or use of the prize received in connection with these Challenges.

9. SUSPENSION / TERMINATION.

In the event that the security, administration or proper operation of the Challenge is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, breaches of computer security, or other technical problems, Sommet Education may in its sole discretion suspend the Challenge to address the impairment and then resume the Challenge in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Terms and Conditions. The Challenge can otherwise be altered, varied, modified, changed, or terminated by Sommet Education at any time at its sole discretion.

Sommet Education reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to investigate any suspicious or inappropriate activity relating to the Challenge and delay the delivery of the Prize during such investigations. Sommet Education reserves the right to disqualify any Participant or winner if, in its sole discretion, (i) a Participant or winner has not complied with these Terms and Conditions or (ii) has otherwise attempted to disrupt the Challenge (iii) or acted in an unsportsmanlike manner or (iv) engaged in any fraudulent or deceitful behaviour in connection with the Challenge, or (v) it believes the Participant or winner will impose potential liability on it, its Partners or any of their respective affiliates, employees, representatives or agents.

Participants agree that any decisions of Sommet Education in relation to any aspect of this Challenge (including but not limited to eligibility determinations, selection of winners and awarding of Prizes) are final and binding, not subject to legal recourse and do not create any enforceable claims of any Participant. Failure to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

10. MISCELLANEOUS.

If any provision shall be held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall in no way be affected or impaired. This Challenge is void where prohibited by law.

These Terms and Conditions and all related actions shall be governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict of laws principles. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any claim, legal suit, action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the Challenge shall be the city of Lausanne, Switzerland.
